Thank you for your interest in starting a Teen Republicans club. We have clubs based out of schools, county GOPs, and even just a group of people in a community. No matter how you decide to set up the club, the below steps will help you.
1. Gauge interest among peers to see if there is support for the idea.
2. Find an adult, a teacher or a Republican member of the community, who is willingly to help you out.
3. Start a Facebook Group for the club and invite anyone who might be just remotely interested.
4. Gather as many members as possible for a planning meeting. At this meeting approve the Georgia Teen Republicans Constitution and adopt a generic club constitution. “Ideally this stuff is a hyperlink to downloadable docs” Elected Club Officers or appoint club officers depending on the amount of people at this first meeting.
5. Plan a second larger meeting with either a guest speaker, food, or something else fun and exciting. Contact us for help with this.
6. At the larger meeting, gather the contact information of everyone who shows up. Preferably it is a name, grade, phone number, and email. Send this list to us at the Georgia Teen Republicans. We will not spam your members with emails, but it is important for us to have a hard list of the members at your club, so we can gauge your strength and have additional contact information, so the club doesn’t die when seniors graduate.
7. Make sure you ask us for help along the way. The Georgia Teen Republicans will do whatever possible to make sure that your job is easier.
